Lambano Sanctuary was founded in 2001 and is a patient and family centred medical step-down facility for children and adolescents, who have been referred from hospitals and other facilities. https://lambano.org.za/

The Namaqua Dog & Donkey Foundation’s main focus is outreach work focusing on the sterilisation, vaccination and on-site treatment of animals in informal settlements on the East Rand. Find us on Facebook

ABOUT THE NAMAQUA DOG & DONKEY FOUNDATION

The main aim of the Namaqua Dog & Donkey Foundation is the sterilization of disadvantaged domestic animals in and around Gauteng as well as poor communities in the Northern Cape area. We believe that by doing this, we alleviate suffering, disease and death of unwanted litters.

Our organization sterilized 487 animals during 2025. We also funded an outreach program to Noupoort for an education and treatment program for 45 horses.

ABOUT LAMBANO SANCTUARY

CHILDREN’S MEDICAL & PALLIATIVE STEP-DOWN FACILITY

36 Senator Road, Germiston

Since the year 2001, Lambano Sanctuary NGO has provided a loving permanent home to over 30 children in response to the HIV/AIDS Pandemic, achieving an 85% rehabilitation success rate in their medical recovery. This inspired the move from Children’s Homes to Children’s Medical & Palliative Care. From 2009 to February 2025, Lambano delivered more than 50,000 medical and palliative care interventions in the little lives of children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

CHILDREN’S SUB-ACUTE FACILITY

Now, through the help of an angel donor, Lambano has built South Africa’s first Dedicated Children’s Sub-Acute Facility, specializing in step-down medical and rehabilitative care.
