We look forward to hosting Gauteng’s Premier Half Marathon! Bedfordview Athletics has been proudly hosting the race since 1981. We are look forward to continuing this journey with Biogen, Momentum Multiply, Dis-Chem and all the co-sponsors who make races like ours possible for all runners to enjoy. A big THANK YOU to all our sponsors who bring incredible value to the runners, including the race shirts, goody bags, medals, activations, product and services.
Runners can look forward to the same high-quality event, with the same challenging route winding its way through the hills of Bedfordview and Primrose. The route offers the perfect kickstart to the running calendar.
We thank our communities in Bedfordview and Primrose for their patience and understanding on race day. We are part of such a special community and appreciate the support that we get from Better Bedfordview, a non-profit organisation that assists us with cleaning the route and fixing potholes. Thanks to the Bedfordview and Primrose CPFs, RAG, Blue Hawk Tactical, BSG and Spider Tactical Reaction security companies who offer us that extra security and assistance on the day.
So much work goes into organising this race by a group of volunteers. We are proud of our race’s legacy and the people who have put in so much effort before us and those who continue to do so. We could not host a race without the support of all of our club members, their families and friends that all volunteer at the race set-up, race registration, the start, the finish, marshalling on the route and water points. Part of the race legacy is local clubs supporting each other and we really appreciate the relationships that we have with the Edenvale Rand Road Warriors, Gallopers, Germiston Callies, Fit 2000 and Jeppe who offer us assistance at water points and with marshalling.
We also extend our thanks to all the runners and running clubs who support the race in their numbers. We also appreciate your kind donations to Lambano Sanctuary and the Namaqua Dog and Donkey Foundation which will be matched by the Dis-Chem Foundation.
Enjoy the race!
